MOHAN GHEE® (DESI GHEE), serving India since 1947, is a traditional desi ghee made from A2 buffalo milk. It is predominantly crafted using the Ayurvedic Bilona method of hand-churning curd. Every batch begins with fresh A2 buffalo milk, carefully turned into curd using a natural starter culture, and left to set overnight. The curd is carefully churned by hand just before dawn, using the ancient wooden Bilona - clockwise and anticlockwise to separate, forming creamy white butter (Makkhan), then slow-cooked over firewood.
The ghee is made by slowly heating churned butter at low temperatures to help preserve its nutrients and taste. Renowned for its rich flavor and granular texture (danedar), it has stood the test of time since Independence. It is packed in airtight tin containers to retain freshness and prevent wastage.
