Renowned worldwide, Mogra Saffron is among the world’s finest most prized saffron grades. celebrated for its deep crimson threads and distinct, delicate aroma. Hand-harvested with care, this premium saffron is cherished for its mood-enhancing, anti-inflammatory, and digestive benefits. A treasured ingredient in Ayurveda and traditional medicine for centuries, it is also a powerful immunity booster.

MORHAV brings this royal spice directly from Pampore Valley in its pure, all-red form.

OUR PROCESS: DIRECT FROM PAMPORE FARMERS

  • Direct from Pampore farmers—no intermediaries: Collected directly from saffron growers in Kashmir’s celebrated saffron-growing region for a shorter, more transparent and traceable journey.

  • Adulteration-free purity: No egg-albumin coating, artificial colour or added foreign matter—only pure saffron threads.

  • Premium all-red Mogra grade: Made from the flower’s three deep-crimson stigmas, with the yellow style portion removed. No torn or broken stigmas added.

  • Hand-harvested and meticulously sorted: The delicate flowers are hand-picked, and only the finest crimson stigma portions are retained.

WHY MOGRA COSTS MORE

  • Each flower produces only three tiny red stigmas; removing the yellow style gives more usable saffron and less non-colouring floral material in every gram.

  • Selecting only the crimson portion reduces the final yield and requires considerably more flowers and skilled hand-sorting.

A TREASURED HERITAGE SPICE

  • Adds an elegant aroma, brilliant colour and royal touch to special dishes.

  • Traditionally treasured in Ayurveda and household wellness rituals; ideal for gourmet retail, premium gifting and fine-dining or HoReCa menus.

Saffron naturally contains bioactive compounds such as crocin, crocetin and safranal. Traditionally treasured in Ayurveda, it is now also being studied for several wellness benefits:

  • Mood & Emotional Well-being: May support a positive mood and help manage occasional stress and anxious feelings. Clinical evidence is strongest for standardized saffron extracts—not ordinary culinary quantities.
  • Antioxidant Protection: May help strengthen the body’s antioxidant defences and protect cells from oxidative stress.
  • Healthy Inflammatory Response: Saffron has been studied for its potential to support balanced inflammatory markers. It should not, however, be described as treating inflammation.
  • Cognitive Health: Preliminary clinical research suggests potential support for memory and cognitive function, particularly in people experiencing mild cognitive decline. Evidence in healthy adults remains limited.
  • Women’s Well-being: Traditionally used for menstrual wellness, saffron has shown potential for supporting emotional and physical comfort associated with PMS.
  • Digestive Comfort: Traditionally valued in Ayurveda for supporting appetite and digestion, although strong modern clinical evidence for digestive benefits is still limited.
  • Skin Radiance: Its antioxidant compounds may support skin wellness by helping protect against oxidative stress. Saffron is also traditionally used in skincare rituals for a naturally radiant appearance.
  • Immune Wellness: Its antioxidant and healthy-inflammatory-response properties may support general immune wellness. Avoid calling it a “powerful immunity booster,” as direct clinical proof for boosting immunity is insufficient.
